I rescued him from a slow-motion highway crossing.
Thank you all for the encouragement! It’s been a difficult beginning this spring. Today I repeated my commute into Ithaca. New challenges: slightly more gear, and also it was raining steadily all morning, which is more of a psychological barrier than anything else. However, I managed to dodge the storms, and I didn’t get wet at all.
My second bike ride into Ithaca this year, and the first time I’ve carried all my gear (15-20 lbs?), which makes a significant difference going over the hills. 14.6 miles today for a total of 38.3 miles this week — my best week so far this year. I have just completed over 800 miles since I bought this bike last summer.
